AFTH Carnival 2022: Blast From The Past

AFTH Carnival 2022: Blast From The Past

After two years, Arts From The Heart was finally back with a physical carnival to raise funds for our two partner beneficiaries – Singapore Association for Mental Health and Samaritans of Singapore. The AFTH Carnival 2022: Blast from the Past was held at Fountain Square @ City Square Mall over a span of 2 days, from 18 to 19 June 2022. The event was a huge success and drew over 800 participants.

The Carnival was lined up with numerous performances by our in-house clubs and family-friendly activities that allow participants to relive their childhood once again, encompassing the theme “Blast From The Past”. AFTH Carnival 2022 also brought back the “Crane for Hope” initiative. Participants were encouraged to fold origami cranes and drop them into a 3D structure that spelt out the word ‘HOPE’. For every crane folded and deposited into the structure, $2 was donated by SNACK by Income. It was indeed moving to witness people from all walks of life doing their part for the mental health community in Singapore.

Another exciting highlight of AFTH Carnival 2022 was the guest appearance of Uncle Raymond, one of Singapore’s infamous TikTok stars. It was definitely an extremely memorable experience meeting him and Arts From The Heart is grateful for his time and unwavering support for our event.

Live performances were also put up to heat up the stage at the Carnival by several NTU Hall Jam Bands and NTU CAC member clubs.

Another highlight of the Carnival was the wide array of game booths and art booths, whereby all proceeds from the carnival ticket sales were also donated to our two partner beneficiaries. It was a heart-warming sight seeing participants spending time to bond with their loved ones through games and unleashing their creativity at the various art booths.

It was a humbling experience to be part of the AFTH Carnival 2022 and to give back to the community. Big or small, every contribution at the event will go a long way in raising more awareness and support for anyone who is suffering from mental health issues. Beyond just seeing the smiles on the participants’ faces while enjoying the Carnival with their loved ones, it was also heart-warming to have witnessed how parents impart the virtue of giving back to society, to their children while spending parent-child bonding time through the activities at the Carnival. Not only that, but seeing the family members of the Planning Committee supporting the event and displaying a sense of pride on their faces was also a heartening scene.

The 2022 Organising Committee would also like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for their support and trust, allowing for this event to be executed successfully!

The 2022 Organising Committee would also like to once again express our deepest gratitude to every footstep left behind and every hand that has ever been held out to us. To everyone who has played a part in our Carnival and made a difference in our beneficiaries’ lives in one way or another, THANK YOU! Arts From The Heart Carnival 2022 – Blast From The Past would not have been possible without all of the unwavering support we have received!

With that, AFTH 2022 has come to an end. We hope to still seek your support for our upcoming events! Meanwhile, like us on Facebook or Follow us on Instagram for first-hand sneaks at what we’re up to!
